Welcome to our school website! I am very proud and privileged to be the Head Teacher at Mickleton Primary School and Nursery.
We are a vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve. We place the children at the heart of all our decisions to ensure that they are happy, confident and that opportunities are offered for them to grow in all areas of their education.
Through our engaging curriculum, we foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum, where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and can reach their full potential.
The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents, the local community and the other local schools. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school, regarding you as an active partner in your child's education and valuing your interest and support.
I hope that this website will give you lots of information about our school, the staff and the many activities that our children enjoy through our curriculum and our extra-curricular activities. It will continue to develop over time as we add more information, but can never replace the first-hand experience of coming to visit us. If you would like to find out more or visit the school please do get in touch.

Mickleton Primary and Nursery School is situated on the outskirts of an expanding rural village. It has fantastic buildings and grounds as it is housed in a modern, purpose built building that was opened in 2006.
We are a friendly, welcoming school with pupils who make good progress and attainment. Our most recent Ofsted report classed us as good – with outstanding features. Our school is not just about academic excellence, it’s about personal growth too. It’s about how we treat each other, what we value and how we contribute to our surroundings and community.
The school has grown in recent years and currently has a Nursery, Reception Class, Mixed KS1 Class, Mixed Year 2/3 Class and single form entry for Years 4 to 6. All of our classrooms are stimulating, vibrant and well resourced.
Our school offers children a varied range of after-school clubs, regular class trips and opportunities for inter-school events at our local Secondary School – Chipping Campden School.
We have a school-led Nursery, Breakfast Club and After-School Care provision on site. Our school regularly visits the two local churches with the local ministers / vicars leading collective worship in our school. We have also participated in several community ventures working alongside the Mickleton Community Archive. Through our village links we are fortunate to have the support of the Richard Porter Trust and Dixon Charity. We are also part of the wider school, Local Authority and National Community through our well-established links with the local COSMIC cluster group, Science Primary School Cluster and the Ogden Trust.
We have a supportive and forward-thinking Governing Body along with an active Friends of School group of parents who raise a substantial amount of money each year to support all of the children and school.
